The State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mr David Markson, has called on all camp Officials to work in unison to ensure a hitch free orientation course.
He stated this on tuesday at the first general meeting of camp Officials held ahead of commencement of the exercise
” Remember we are on camp to mould these young ones into better citizens of the country. It is our duty to accord them all the necessary assistance ,whenever the need arises.
“Avoid over socialisation but you see the Corps members as your children, sisters and brothers” he said.
Mr Markson also took his time to hint camp officials on the resolutions reached at the pre-orientation meeting held in Abuja recently.
In his remarks, the camp Director, Mr Ukwenya Owoicho appealed to all camp official to give him maximum cooperation .
He also warned about extorting money from Corps members. “No one should collect any form of gratification from any Corps member. Any one caught shall be severely dealt with, he said.
Meanwhile, Mr Atang Daniel, the Resident Officer I, delivered the Goodwill message of the Director-General , Brigadier-General Shaibu Ibrahim, as he appealed to all to respect the rules and regulations of the orientation course. ” You must remember they came from far and wide. It is our duty to welcome them and make them comfortable. First impression matters” he maintained
You will recall that NYSC Gombe is expecting one thousand six hundred (1600) prospective Corps members for the 2019 Batch C Stream I Orientation course in the State
