Daddy! As i fondly called you, I didn’t plan losing you suddenly. I didn’t expect to wake up to the news that you were gone in this manner, not even now. But I’m consoled with the fact that you found peace with our maker.
As a colossus, you were more than just a boss, as you had transcended from a CEO to a dad. From the day, you accepted my father’s request for me to gain a work experience in Multi Trex, as a corps member.
As Pragmatic person that you were, you made me have a feel of virtually all the key and strategic departments from supply chain to Accounting, to administration, to when i became Marketing head. Some may think calling you dad was something that began yesterday but No, since 2006 when you noticed the devastating effect of mourning my late father, you forbade me from calling you anything else other than DAD to fill that void. You see why your demise is like the proverbial saying of losing your dad a second time.
When I count my many blessings, I count you a million times. You were my winepress and you ensured I didn’t relish in outright mediocrity. Even in death, you still will be loved.
In my heart are many questions, but in same manner, there are many things to say about you, but with a heart heavy with reminiscences, yet there is gratitude lurking somewhere with the knowing that you are in a better place. See you on the resurrection morning.
Good night Daddy Owofemi !
