Chief of mission, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Frantz Celestin, on Tuesday said the organization has provided 400 shelters.
Celestin disclosed this in his verifiable twitter account, adding that it is in collaboration with China Aid.
He noted that this will further help to decongest reception areas.
“Internally displaced people arriving in camps in north-east Nigeria usually stay in congested reception centres.
“With support from China Aid, IOM has built 400 emergency shelters giving families a dignified space to live,” the tweet stated.
While calling for support to improve the lives of persons in IDP camps, celestin added “With rising needs, greater solidarity is urgently needed.”
