Gombe dissolves transport company board
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has approved the dissolution of the board and management of Gombe State Transport Service (Gombe Line) with immediate effect.
Announcing this through a press statement on Thursday, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Njodi conveyed the Governor’s approval for the appointment of an interim administrator.
According to the SSG, the Sole Administrator, who has practical records and cognate experience in the organisation, is to report directly to the office of the Governor.
He noted the newly appointed interim administrator is at liberty to appoint staff members that would be responsible for other key positions in the firm.
The statement partly added, “Governor Yahaya has approved with immediate effect, the appointment of Usman Mamman Kamara as Interim Sole Administrator of the transport company and mandated him to select key staff that would man Traffic, Commercial, Revenue, Audit and Workshop Departments.”
