Gombe gets substantive Accountant- General
Gombe State Gombe, Muhammadu Yahaya has approved the confirmation of the appointment of Dr. Aminu Yuguda as substantive Accountant- General with effect from 21st March, 2022.
Announcing the governor’s confirmation, State Head of Service, Bappayo Yahaya, said the decision, is in line with the powers conferred on governor Yahaya, by Section 208 (2) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
He said, “during his (Yuguda) six months service in acting capacity, Aminu Yuguda had performed creditably and discharged his duties professionally.”
Recall that Yuguda, was appointed Acting Accountant-General on 22nd September, 2021, following the retirement of the the erstwhile AG, Umar Bello from the service.
Born on November 21, 1974, Aminu Yuguda obtained Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Masters ( MSc) degrees in Accounting from the University of Maiduguri as well as PhD from the University of Jos.
However, the newly confirmed Accountant- General is an Associate Chartered Accountant, ACA and Fellow Chattered National Accountant, FCNA among others.
