Gombe Deputy Governor guests the solemnisation of colleague’s daughter
The Gombe State Deputy Governor Manassah Daniel Jatau, has honoured his Niger State Counterpart, Alhaji Ahmad Mohammed Ketso by attending wedding of his daughter Dr. Maryam.
Dr. Maryam was wedded to her heart-throb, Engineer Ahmad Mohammad at the Central Mosque Minna, Niger State.
The Deputy Governor of Gombe State joined by the Governor of Niger State Alh. Abubakar Sani Bello and a multitude of well wishers from across Nigerians witnessed the solemnisation of the marriage.
In a goodwill message, the Gombe State Deputy Governor, noted that marriage as the oldest institution should be kept sacrosanct in line with religious injunctions for the society to thrive for the benefit of all.
He said, ” the home is the beginning of process of socialization and good morals therefore couples should ensure that their families meet up with the needed moral and religious values so as to mitigate the problems of deviance which constitute challenges bedeviling our co- values and peaceful coexistence.
” When we, as parents imbibe the right virtues to the young we shall be doing well to prepare them to be good and godly citizens ready to shoulder their responsibilities as responsible people and future leaders. Let me call on all families to, not relent on this our civic and godly responsibilities for a better society where we all shall be proud of.”
He admonished the newly wedded couple and all couples alike to demonstrate the sense of love, patience and commitment to their relationships and families with a view to creating a conducive atmosphere for the well-being and upright upbringing of children for a better future as well as reduce pressure for the government to be able to deliver their promises to the people.
Dr. Jatau congratulated the parents and the couple for successful wedding and prayed for God’s marital blessings.
Addressing the gathering at Justice Kutigi Conference Centre, Minna, Niger State, the venue of reception Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, welcomed all the Guests from far, and wide to Niger State, and congratulated the couple over successful marriage.
The Niger State Deputy Governor Ketso appreciated his colleague from Gombe State, being the only serving Deputy Governor in attendance, praying God to reward him and his principal Governor, Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the concern shown to their family and Niger State.
The wedding reception was the crescendo of the event where the couple cut their cake and guests were treated to sumptuous meal as well as dance entertainment.
