GSCDA organises training for community groups over micro project implementation
The Gombe State Community and Social Development Agency (GSCDA), has organised a training for community groups and project management committee on micro project implementations.
Periscope Nigeria reports that the training which held at the Amina Inuwa Hall was to enlighten the participants on the rudiments and demands on project execution under the supervision of the agency.
Addressing the participants, the General Manager Gombe State Community and Social Development Agency Alhaji Abubakar Ardo Kumo said the Nigeria Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus( NG Cares) project as facilitated by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya is community driven in which project would be executed based on the needs of the identified community.

Kumo applauded the governor’seffort in that regard, adding that the agency is one of the delivery platforms of NG-CARES working on education, health and water provision to the most poverty stricken communities in the state.
The General Manager attributed the choice of the agency as one of the delivery platforms to its track record of effective service for over ten years in the state.

He encouraged the participants as representatives of their various groups and communities to make cooperation, transparency and trustworthiness as their watch words so as to excell
In his remarks, the Manager Operation, Mr. Ismaila said GSCDA project is not a money making venture, while challenging the selected communities to see themselves trustworthy ambassadors.
He further urged them to ensure expertise and quality in project execution for the projects to stand the test of time.
Also, the Finance and Administration Manager and the Manager and Evaluation Sani Adamu told the participants to that the launch of the projects next week would be an open presentation.
Adamu added that the agency would supervise the project execution from start to finish.
While encouraging them to ensure timely execution of projects, the two officers also advised them to plan on how to own the projects by ensuring maintenance for its sustainability.
Some of the participants expressed delight for emerging as beneficiaries of the proposed project and promised to stick to specifications for the overall development of their areas.
Different paper presentations mostly guiding the communities on how to properly execute the projects were delivered by experts from the Agency.
