ACDJ Opens Development Reporting Awards
The Africa Centre for Development Journalism (ACDJ) hereby calls on eligible Nigerian journalists to send in entries for its inaugural Development Reporting Awards aimed at sub-national development reporting that focuses on inequality, underdevelopment, policy, and governance.
The deadline for the submission of entries is 1 October 2022 by 11:59 pm West African Time (WAT). Kindly share the call / links and attached Flyer widely within your newsroom and across your platforms.
The award is open to all interested Nigerian journalists or team of journalists (full-time or freelancing) who published a story, through print or electronic Nigerian news media (broadcast – TV/radio, print or online), between 1 October 2021 and 30 September 2022. The full eligibility criteria for entry submission is available here and attached herewith in Pdf format.
The public presentation of the awards will be held at an event as part of activities commemorating the 2022 Development Information Day as observed by the United Nations (UN). Before the public presentation, a final shortlist of the award recipients will be announced.
