Reading from Proverbs 29:2, Wina, reiterated that when the righteous rule, the people rejoice, “so when Christians shy away from politics because they believe it is evil, they are creating the right recipe for evil people to rule and cause the people to perpetually mourn,” he said.
Wina called on youths to take up the mantle and dare to change their circumstances for the better by being card carrying members of a political party.
The lawmaker also decried the attitude of some graduates who felt they are too educated to contest for ward positions in political parties when they can add value to the political process.
Commending the lawmaker, Evang. Samson Zubairu, the State Chairman, Mawakan Sabon Rai Don Kowa, lauded Wina for his continuous support to the group, urging him not to relent in his well doing.
He also tasked others to emulate the attributes of the lawmaker, which he said has stood him out among his contemporaries.
Highlight of the event was the special prayer held for Wina and all other Christian politicians in the state.
