Gov Inuwa Mourns Veteran Broadcaster, Timawus Matthias

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed sadness over the demise of veteran broadcaster, Mr.Timawus Mathias, who died recently at the age of 73 after a protracted illness.

In a message of condolence, Governor Inuwa, observed that the nation has lost one of its finest Journalists who worked assiduously through his series of reportage, commentaries and personality engagements to promote democracy and good governance in the country.
In the statement by Ismalia Uba Misilli, stated that the Governor described the late Timawus Mathias as a decent and exceptional broadcaster, whose wealth of experience rubbed off on young aspiring journalists through constant mentoring and tutelage.
He said the death of the media guru is a great loss not only to his immediate family but to Journalism professional and Nigeria in general.
The Governor therefore, extended his heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased, the management and staff of Amana Radio Gombe, the entire Bachama Kingdom and indeed the government and people of Adamawa State over the huge loss and prayed the Almighty God to grant his soul eternal rest.
