RESIDENTS OF FEDERAL LOW-COST PHASE || PAY COURTESY VISIT TO WATER RESOURCES COMMISSIONER
Some residents of Federal low-cost phase || on Friday paid courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Water Resources, Gombe State in his Office.
The delegation which was led by Hon. Sidi Abubakar Hashidu, Chairman of the Residents Association, In his remarks acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry.

Hashidu, also lauded the effort of the present administration under the leadership of Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and prayed for his success.
“As the governor steadily continues to deliver dividends of democracy to the electorates we pray for his success,” Hasidu said.

While explaining the reason for their visit, Hasidu said it was hinged on the need for clean potable water supply in their area.
Also speaking, Acting General Manager Water Board who is part of the Commissioner’s team that received the delegation explained in the details the effort of the present administration.
He said, “Already an assessment has been carried out in the area regarding your plight, on the lack of water.”
The General Manager assured the residents of ongoing plans, “to connect the area when the mallam Inna water works is completed as already an underground and overhead tank opposite matrix has been completed to supply the whole of Federal Low-cost and environs when completed.”
On his part, The Commissioner Ministry of Water Resources Hon. Mijinyawa Yahaya, welcomed the delegation to the ministry on there visit and thereafter gave a brief explanation of the challenges they are facing which include; power supply which is not efficient enough to boost water from Dadinkowa to Gombe Metropolis, ever increasing population of residents, saboteurs who break pipelines and connect illegally to water power lines and a whole lot.
Yahaya said, “I want to assure the delegation that with the rehabilitation and expansion contracts of the Gombe Regional Water Scheme Recently the plight of the area will change.”
He added that their cry would be addressed, assuring that that their requests would become a thing of the past.
The Commissioner also lauded the delegation, following their decision to support the second term bid of the present administration, “for His Excellency Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, reelection and continuous support so that he can continue to deliver dividends of democracy to all Gombe citizens,” Yahaya said.
The Overseeing permanent Secretary, Acting GM Water Board, Directors and other staff of the ministry were in attendance to receive the Delegation….
