Zamfara govt distributes N10,000 each to 50,000 beneficiaries monthly
The Zamfara State Government has reinvigorated its poverty alleviation programme by releasing additional funds for distribution to the less privileged and the vulnerable, monthly across the 14 local government areas of the state.

According to the Commissioner for Information Ibrahim Dosara, this is in addition to the other relief measures of the government such as N20,000 being distributed monthly to 1, 800 women across the state, the N-Cares packages and ZASIP programmes of the state government, as well as the school feeding programme of the federal government.
He said, “The government embarked on the relief support programmes to reduce the effect of the economic hardship being faced in the country, coupled with the security challenges bedeveling the state.
“The 500, 000,000 Naira is to be shared among 50, 000 beneficiaries monthly to assist them to cope with the challenges of the time, with a view to boosting the state economy.”
