Katsina names transition committee for incoming Govt
Katsina State has announced the setting up of two committees to usher in the new government of Dr Dikko Radda, of the All Progressives Congress who won the State Governorship election.
They were the transition committee and the inauguration committee.
A statement by the Director in charge of the press at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the state, Abdullahi Yaradua, explained that Governor Aminu Masari, approved the formation of the two committees.
According to the statement,the transition committee had 40 members under the chairmanship of the Secretary to the Government of the state, Alhaji Muntari Lawal while the Permanent Secretary, Administration at the office of the Head of Service,Alhaji Usman Isiyaku, was named its Secretary.
The statement further explained that the inauguration committee had 43 members under the chairmanship of the Commissioner for water resources,Musa Funtua.
Barrister Hannatu Musawa, was named it’s Secretary.
The statement added that Governor Masari, would inaugurate the two committees in katsina on Thursday.
