Police arrest suspected killers of 58-year-old mother of eight in Gombe
The Gombe State Police command on Sunday announced that suspected killers of mother eight, Aishatu Abdullahi, have been nabbed.
Our correspondent reports that this is coming less than 48 hours to the killing of Abdullahi by criminals over her alleged failure to surrender her mobile phone to them.
Confirming the arrest, Command’s Public Relations Officer ASP Mahid Abubakar, who promised to give details leading to the arrest, wrote “Police arrest suspected killers of 58-year-old, Aishatu Abdullahi ( Adda Damori), 48 hours after the incident.Details later.”
Recall that Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, had given security agencies order to unravel the perpetrators of the crime, adding “I want to make it abundantly clear that there will be no escape from justice for those responsible for this vile and vicious act. Our security agencies are directed to leave no stone unturned to track down the culprits to account for their heinous action.
While conveying the condolences of the government and people of Gombe State to the bereaved family, Yahaya lamented the way the deceased was killed describing as gruesome.
“The details of this incident, as preliminarily reported by the police, are nothing short of horrifying as a dark stain. Our hearts bleed for the bereaved family, who are grappling with an unimaginable loss, and for the Jekadafari community as well as the entire citizens, who are now scarred by the traumatic aftermath of this tragic event,” he said.
