He said that the quality of the Nigerian players played a major role in determining the outcome of the game which he described as a “demanding game.”

“I would like to congratulate the Nigerian team. They have a very strong squad.

“It was a demanding game Trying to mourn about this defeat is not a good attitude to have. Our strikers didn’t perform.

“Nigeria was more efficient,” he said.

The coach of the oil-rich Southern Africa nation, however commended his players for “getting this far.”

“It’s not like my players were scared or star struck at the Nigerian players. But when you’re faced with reality, you must accept it.”

“Which players are you playing against? What are their qualities? Nigeria has quality, and it showed.”

Periscope Nigeria reports that Ademola Lookman got the only goal of the game following a superb assist from Moses Simon to zoom Nigeria into the semi final.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will now face the winner between South Africa and Cape Verde in the semi-final.
