The Governing Council of Federal University of Kashere on Tuesday approved the appointments of Alhaji Nasir Abdullahi as the substantive Registrar and Mr Isa Amaza, as the substantive Bursar, effective February 11, 2025.
Abdullahi, who was previously the Registrar of Federal College of Education, Jama’are in Bauchi State, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Our correspondent reports that the appointee began his career as an Administrative Officer in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi and rose to the rank of Senior Deputy Registrar in 2018.
Amaza, on the other hand, was the Ag. Director of Colleges, Faculties and Postgraduate Accounts in the Bursary Department of University of Maiduguri. He started his career as an Accountant and rose to the rank of Deputy Bursar in 2019.
According to the Chairman of Council, Prof. Williams Aderounmu, and Vice Chancellor, Prof. Umaru Pate, the appointments were based on performance and experience.
“We urge them to bring in their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, and to uphold ethical values and discipline,” Aderounmu
Aderounmu congratulated the new appointees, saying, “Their appointments were based on merit, and we expect them to justify the confidence reposed in them by working diligently to develop the university.”
