The Gombe State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs Chinwe Nwachuku, has declared the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 2 orientation course closed, with a call on corps members to be patriotic and uphold the core values of the scheme.
Our correspondent reports that the closing ceremony marks the end of the mandatory three-week orientation as it commences their move to their various place of primary assignments.



Speaking during the closing ceremony held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Amada, Akko Local Government Area, on Tuesday, Nwachuku charged the corps members to demonstrate love for their country and remain committed to the ideals of national unity and development.
Nwachuku said, “You must be patriots. Demonstrate love and loyalty to our dear country, wherever you find yourselves.”
Continuing Nwachuku added, “The NYSC scheme was founded on the principles of unity, discipline, and selfless service, values that every corps member must uphold.”
The State Coordinator further urged the corps members to make meaningful contributions to their host communities during their primary assignments.
“Your service year is not just a mandatory national duty; it is an opportunity to touch lives and make lasting impact,” Nwachuku stated.
She added, “Continue to sustain the spirit of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme by taking part in post-camp trainings and developing your own ventures.”
She commended the camp officials and collaborating agencies for their dedication and support throughout the three-week orientation exercise, noting that their commitment ensured a successful and hitch-free camp.
Nwachuku’s closing remarks underscored the NYSC’s emphasis on patriotism, integrity, and community service as essential tools for building a more united and progressive Nigeria.
The event featured a valedictory parade by the corps members and presentations by various platoons to mark the end of the orientation exercise.
