The Governor of Bauchi State Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed friday, paid a condolence visit to the family of late emeritus Professor John Pepper Clark.
Recall that, the late Nigerian poet and playwright John Pepper Clark-Bekederemo died last week at the age of 85.
John pepper Clark Bekederemo, born on April 6, 1935, was one of Nigeria’s foremost anglophone dramatists and poets.
According to a press statement which was signed by the Special Assistant to the governor on New media,Lawal Bauchi,the governor was accompanied by the Bauchi State PDP Chairman Alhaji Hamza Koshe and State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning Dr Aminu Gamawa.
The governor described the late Professor as an icon who played a vital role in promoting peace and unity of Nigeria.
Family of the deceased thanked the governor for the condolence and wished him a safe return home.
