Shooting Stars Football Club(3SC), took the first shine of the Nigerian National League Super Eight Playoff as they defeated Bendel Insurance 2 : 1 to mark the first win of the Playoff in the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.

Gombe United Football Club began their quest to gain promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) with a 1-1 draw against Neighbors El-kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri.
Gombe United conceded a penalty in the thirty one minutes of play and Mustapha Yuga stepped on ball and converted the spot kick which gave El-kanemi Warriors a goal lead.
The first half ended 1-0 in favour of El-kanemi.
The Savannah Scorpions came into the second half more rejuvenated as they calmly took control of the game and the equaliser came in the seventy sixth minutes by Ibrahim Yahaya who converted the chance.
