NYSC Director Corps Welfare harps on Patriotism, National Unity, others
The Director Corps Welfare and Health Services , Alhaji Ladan Baba has called on the 2022 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Corps members deployed to Gombe State to uphold the ideals of the NYSC as it was established to raise the moral tone of Nigerian Youth.

According to Baba, corps members should acquire Skills for self-reliance, amenable to leadership training and respect for one another, adding that the essence of the NYSC was for national unity and integration among other things.

He described the Scheme as a melting pot for refining Nigeria graduates for nation building.

Speaking on the four cardinal Programmes of the NYSC; the Orientation Course, Primary assignment, Community Development Service and the Winding up and passing out, at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Amada Gombe State, Baba urged Corps members to strive to integrate with members of their host Communities after the Orientation Course by putting to use lessons learned in the Course of the exercise.
Commenting further on respect for the diverse cultures and traditions of Nigeria, the Director encouraged them to make friends on camp and if possible, intermarry in order to confirm at first hand the many similarities we have as a nation.
He encouraged them to accept their posting in good faith by contributing to.thr development of especially Rural areas in schools and healthcare facilities.
Baba also took his time to discourage incessant journeys by Corps members during the service year.
He said, “Permission must be obtained through proper channels of communication before embarking on any journey outside the State of service.
“Time should be spent learning a skill through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme of the NYSC by perfecting your skills at the post camp training with their trainers in order to be self-reliant and Employers of labour.”
