According to him, the building also served as support to Governor Yahaya, during 2019 election, following the decision of Barde to hand the venue to him having come second in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in 2018.
He said, “In 2018 APC was not in government tolba (Ibrahim Dankwambo) was governor, a PDP member, the place was there and nobody touched it. APC campaign posters was everywhere from Works ministry to Government House nobody did anything.
“Danbarde supported Governor Inuwa, the same place was used by the present governor when he won election. He used it for his meeting. In 2019 when he was campaigning he used that same office for his campaign.”
Speaking about the readiness of his party to form government in 2023, Bala added, “Every body is PDP in Gombe except for a few.”

Meanwhile, Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC Moses Kyari, has asked the the PDP gubernatorial candidate to stop politicising the demolition, adding that the current administration was convinced on its victory.
Kyari stated this following questions that Governor Yahaya was intimidated with the growing popularity of his opponent.
He said, “As far as I’m concerned he is a paper-weight, he is a nobody, you don’t need state power to defeat him at the election. What are his antecedents, what has he done to bring to Gombe State development?
“As for our candidate we can say he has impacted on the lives of the people of Gombe State and the whole of the state.”
