NLO top official, Ogunnowo hails Mailantarki’s contributions to football development, youth empowerment
The National League One finest administrator and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mr Shola Ogunnowo, had showered encomiums on Hon Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, the president of Mailantarki Care Football Academy (MCFA) for his contributions to football development and youth empowerment in the country.
The NLO official stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to Hon Mailantarki following the massive breakthroughs of MCFA in the Nationwide League One (NLO) and other competitions in the country and abroad.

This is contained in press statement issued by Adamu Usman Ahmed, the Director Media and Administration, Mailantarki Care Football Academy on Monday in Gombe.
Ahmed stated that the Chieftain of the Nigeria third tier league Shola Ogunnowo, began his statements by appreciating the initiatives brought by Hon Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki which gives Nigerian youth a platform for their respective potentials to excel through its Mailantarki Care Football Academy.
Ogunnowo was quoted to have said “I need to thank you for the interest you have shown in youth empowerment, this is coming out with an outstanding results, that the whole world not even Nigeria is beginning to see your involvement within a year.
“The team registered its first ever League appearance less than a year, we have begun to see clean results coming out without any rancor or related issues, and they did well to top the league group table, withing another shot time they played in the final of FCT FA cup and represented the City in the National AITEO Cup all within a year of existence.
“I and my staff begin to ask ourselves who are the people behind these wonderful experiences we are seeing in the NLO and as well the International Championship in Denmark and Norway,
I was amazed and that was what attracted my interest to come and meet you and thank you very very much and also congratulate on the European Tourneys achievements, you have won a world cup because both Dana and Norway cups are universal competitions attended by clubs across the globe.
“If within one year you participated in these largest and oldest tournaments and came back with the cups that shows you are an achiever, you are not just an interested person that wants to be in football, you are an achiever because you’re developing the youth the whole world is seeing it, on this note Sir I want to say a big thank you and congratulations”.
The football administrator per excellence lauded the effort of the team media department for an excellent well-done job in keeping its followers updated on all happenings of the club.
“I also want to thank your media team very well they have been doing wonderfully well, there couldn’t be more professional than what we are experiencing there, because everything that is happening with Mailantarki the whole world is seeing it.
Mr. Shola concluded by assuring the NLO’s support to the team professionally with advice and guidance for the success of its aspiration in Youth Empowerment.
The club President who doubles as the NNPP Gubernatorial candidate in Gombe State Hon Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki was overwhelmed by the league body’s visit to applaud his club over the successes recorded recently in Denmark and Norway.
“Let me start by thanking the Chief Operating Officer of the NLO for this very important visit in other to congratulate us and as well congratulate Nigerian youth for the attainments so far in the academy.
The former federal lawmaker revealed to the visitors the major reason behind his participation and investment in the round leather game.
“Primarily our venture into football is owing to the fact that we wanted to explore another aspect of giving back to the society by identifying the talented unemployed teaming youth irrespective of their background or locality.
“We have a lot of youth with potentials but they lack encouragement and motivations to excel hence the major reason behind establishing the football academy last year (2021) and God so kind today we have about 15 players that are on different levels of engagements across clubs in Europe while others are in our camp here in Abuja and Gombe undergoing various professional exercise under the tutelage of our Technical Director Coach Manu Garba OON.
“We are delighted that today we are able to record some achievements which are why you people are here today celebrating with us, to me this visit is a morale booster which will encourage us to do more and we will not relent in the project.
The brief event rounded off with a presentation of the two trophies before the COO of the NLO Mr. Shola was decorated with the winner’s medal by the club President.
