Police parades Gombe man for raping 16-year-old girl on a grave
The Gombe Police Command has paraded a man identified as Reuben Azariah, for raping a minor on a grave in Kaltungo Local Government.

According to a press statement made available to journalists in Gombe on Wednesday, the command’s Public Relations Officer ASP Mahid Mua’zu Abubakar, said the duo were neighbours, adding that Azariah took advantage of the victim.
He revealed that officers of Kaltungo Police Division immediately came to the rescue of the victim upon receiving complaint from Abigail Yunusa, mother of the victim
Abubakar said, “On the 2nd September 2022 at about 8:30pm a formal complaint was received from Abigail Yunusa of Tarmana ward via Kaltungo LGA, that on the same date at about 8pm one Reuben Azariah of the same address took her daughter (name withheld) aged 16 years of the same address and forcefully had carnal knowledge with her on top of a grave inside their compound at the above mentioned address.
“On receipt of the complaint Police operatives from Kaltungo Division swung into action and arrested the said Reuben Azariah. Victim and suspect were taken to General Hospital Kaltungo for medical examination. Case under investigation after which he will be brought to justice.”
Meanwhile, the Gombe Police Division has arrested 55-year-old Musa Umar, for luring a six-year-old girl to an uncompleted building and defiling her.
“The police received complaint from one Alh. Musa Shehu of Kagarawal quarters Gombe, that one Musa Umar aged 55 years of Kagarawal quarters Gombe, deceived a six-year-old of the same address and took her to an uncompleted building of the same address and had carnal knowledge with her.
“On receipt of the complaint operatives from Gombe Division swung into action and arrested the said Umar, both victim and suspect were taken to Police clinic Gombe for medical examination after which he will be brought to justice,”the statement partly added.
