Mammoth Crowd, Gombe Deputy Gov, SSG Attend Prof Abdullahi Mahadi Janazah
Hundreds of sympathisers were on Saturday, at the Emir’s Palace Gombe to bid farewell to the late University Don, Professor Abdullahi Mahadi who passed on yesterday after a protracted illness at the age of 77.

The deceased who was an academician per excellence was the founder of Mahadi Foundation, Vice Chancellor ABU Zaria and Pioneer Vice Chancellor Gombe State University (GSU), a recipient of National Honours award of CON.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya represented by the Deputy Governor Manassah Daniel Jatau, in company of SSG Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, and other top Government functionaries were among hundreds of sympathisers that attended the funeral Prayers of the late Icon and Philanthropist.

The Governor had earlier in a statement by his Director-General Press Affairs Ismaila Uba Misilli, commiserated with the deceased immediate family, members of the Academia, the People of Gombe and Borno States as well as the entire country for the huge loss.
