The leaders of all the 11 Local Government chapters of All Progressives Congress in Gombe State have called on the Party Executives at all levels to take similar and appropriate disciplinary measures against party members and officials who committed anti-party activities before, during and after the 2023 general elections with a view to entrenching intra- party discipline and sanitising the party from unscrupulous and double faced-elements in the party.
Our correspondent reports that similar endorsements on the expulsion of Goje, had taken place in Akko, Yalmatu Deba, Billiri, Kaltungo, Shongom, Dukku, Nafada, Dukku, Funakaye, and Balanga.
While canvassing for the endorsement of incumbent Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as the leader of the APC in Gombe State, the APC leaders said, “never again shall the party fold its hands and allow unpatriotic individuals hold the party to ransom or commit any act capable of undermining its success, internal cohesion and unity.”
Addressing the Press conference , Wednesday, at Gombe Local Government Secretariat of the party, the leader of the delegation led by the Chairman of Gombe LG chapter of APC, Alhaji Abubakar Danladi, expressed serious concern over the alleged charge of grave misconduct and anti-party activities levelled against some party members and officials including the former Governor and serving Senator Goje, leading to his expulsion from the party in Gombe State.
Danladi disclosed that such activities undermined the success of the party and caused serious harm to the party’s unity and progress.
Expressing their unreserved confidence in the leadership and stewardship of the governor as the leader of the party in Gombe State, “the leaders and its Executive members support and endorsed, completely and without any reservation the decision of the APC Kashere Ward Executive Committee to expel Goje for his shameful and unpardonable conduct of anti party activities during the 2023 general elections,” the chairman said.
While extending unconditional support and willingness to the President-elect in his determination to chart a new era of renewed hope for the party and Nigerians, the leaders enjoined loyal party members to close ranks and support the decision of the party in order to build a more cohesive and stronger APC in Gombe State.
