Gombe Deputy Gov, Ex-SSG, others attend wedding of Mai Tangle, HRH Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba
…pays courtesy visit to Emir of Dass, HRH Usman Biliyaminu
The Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Dr Manassah Daniel Jatau, in company of the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has on Friday attended the wedding of Mai Tangle, His Royal Highness, Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba, at Dass Emir’s Palace, Bauchi State.
The Mai Tangle got wedded to Khadijat Biliyaminu Othman, younger sister to the Emir of Dass at a wedding fatiha in the Central Mosque, Dass Emir’s Palace.
The marriage between the two was consummated after announcing the payment of 200, 000 bride price.
Dr Jatau congratulated the groom, bride and their families for successful wedding, praying God to bless the union.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor paid a courtesy visit on the Emir of Dass where he stressed that “the marriage would cement already existing relationship between Gombe and Bauchi states.
He said, “We come on behalf of our Governor, Alh. Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, Dan Majen Gombe who is attending to other more demanding state matters to attend the wedding of one of our Chiefs, HRH Danladi Sanusi Maiyamba. We are very appreciative to Your Royal Highness for the warm reception accorded us. Today is indeed a day of making history.”
He recalled that, he worked closely with the late father of the Emir of Dass while the late Emir was Sole Administrator of Maiduguri Metropolis as far back as 1974.
He said, “our visit was more of home coming since myself and Professor Njodi are not new to the place.”
Speaking earlier the Emir of Dass welcomed the Deputy Governor, Former SSG and other members of his entourage to his palace.
He expressed delight that, the visit is highly cherished and it’s memories would remain so dear to their hearts and unforgettable.
The entourage of the Deputy Governor include Director Security and Political Matters, Bala Sarki, and immediate past Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency, Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi and others.
