Gombe State Executive Council on Monday approved N320 billion as 2025 budget estimate ahead of Tuesday presentation by Governor Muhammadu Yahaya.
Yahaya presided over the meeting which held at Executive Council Chamber of Gombe State Government House.
Briefing journalists shortly after the meeting Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning; Salihu Alkali, noted that the estimate was okayed by council after thorough assessment.
He said, “The council has approved a total proposed budget of to be spent in 2025 of the amount of N320 billion.
“This occurred after deliberations in the council we arrived at the approval of the total amount to be expended in Gombe State for the 2025 to N320 billion.
“This proposed budget will be taken to the house tomorrow by his Excellency the governor to be presented to the house for the deliberation and approval as we all know once the council gives approval it’s taken to the house for approval and returned to the governor for assent.”
Alkali noted that he would not give breakdown of the estimate urging residents to await the details of the governor’s presentation at the house if Assembly adding “At the presentation by the governor this breakdown will be mentioned I plead with you.”
