Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, on Thursday donated food items to corps members deployed to the state for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ stream I orientation course at Amada temporary orientation camp, Akko Local Government Area of the state.

Our correspondent reports that the donated items include three bulls, 30 bags of rice, 10 jericans of palm oil, 10 jericans of vegetable oil, 10 bags of sugar, eight bags of beans and five cartons of maggi cubes.

Disclosing this to our correspondent Information Officer Secretary to Government of Gombe State Joshua Danmalam, said the generous gesture is a clear demonstration of the governor’s commitment to supporting the development and wellbeing of young Nigerians in the state.

He said, “The donation will no doubt have a positive impact on the lives of corps members, enabling them to focus on their national service.

“The Governor’s support for the NYSC programme is a demonstration of his administration’s priorities, which includes youth development and empowerment.

“By providing these essential resources, the governor has succeeded in creating a conducive environment for corps members to thrive and make a meaningful contribution to the state.”

While receiving the items, the State Coordinator Chinwe Nwachuku, who was visibly excited, expressed her deepest gratitude to governor for his benevolence

She said, “The governor’s donation is a welcome development that will have a lasting impact on the lives of corps members in the state and a shining example of leadership and commitment to the welfare of corps members in the state.”
