The Gombe state Asset recovery committee chairman Air Cmdr. Peter Bilal (Rtd) has said that the committee has enough evidences that the Immediate past administration of governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, mismanaged the assets of the state. He stated this in a briefing with journalists in the state after meeting with the local government sub- committee on Asset recovery, where he mentioned that the former deputy governor willingly turned in the property he acquired
He said “Twenty units of 6-seater tricycles, three units of lathe fabricating machines, one Lexus 570 (2015), 1 Prado V6 and Toyota Prado Txl from the immediate past deputy governor, fourteen ford ranger base 4×4 (pick-ups), 6 GS4 leather from 6 immediate past commissioners.
“Some detractors are saying everything but the truth, if someone goes behind to drop his car as attorney general of the state and goes back to encourage others not to do so. “We have continued to say that if you are sick return them and go back to your sick bed. “We will examine the properties recovered in the various local governments and advise them appropriately to know the one that should be left there and the ones that should be brought back to the capital he added.
Meanwhile, out of the six commissioners affected four have proceeded to the Gombe state High court challenging the legality of the panel.
