The Gombe state prisons command has provided neighbours and workers around the Federal Secretariat relief following a heavy downpour that lasted for several hours today Monday 8 July,2019. The road leading to the Federal Secretariat complex in Gombe, Gombe state was not motorable thereby making access to the layout impossible for road users, as members of staff of various ministries parked metres away to the complex.
According to a release signed by Gambo Musa Bade, command Public Relations Officer, Nigerian Prisons Service, which was made available to Journalists it partly reads
“This development prompted the state Controller of Prisons Ahmadu Adamu, to mobilise his personnel and inmates to fix the road and make it accessible to motorists.
CP Adamu, commended his personnel and inmates for a job well done, “As social workers we are suppose to impact positively in the lives of our neighbours and the community at large. ” You have successfully, proven the essence of our establishment ” he noted.
Some motorists appreciated the effort of the Nigerian Prisons Service and her inmates for coming to their rescue, praying the Almighty God to reward them abundantly.
