Gombe state Governor Inuwa Yahaya, has commiserated with Bauchi state government and immediate family members of Hajiya Jummai Abubakar, who died on Sunday at the age of 85 . Prior to the demise of Hajiya Abubakar, she was the surviving widow of the late Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa,
In a condolence message, signed by the governor’s Senior special Assistant Ismaila Misilli,
“Governor Yahaya described the deceased as a great mother, role model and pillar, whose death has left a huge vacuum, not only in her immediate family but the entire nation.
While extending his heartfelt condolences to the entire “Balewas, the Government and people of Bauchi state as well as Nigerians in general, Alhaji Yahaya prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the sins of the deceased and grant her Aljannat Firdaus” the statement read.
