He said corps members with in relevant fields in  construction will be given opportunity for the reconstruction.

According to Ibrahim, “I’m on essential movement to assess the damage caused by Windstorm to the skill Acquisition Centre, the place is stocked with a lot of equipment. We have a plan with the minister to turn this place to an institution but due to covid-19, we need to fix it as quick as possible so that our plan can materialize on the usage of this place on skill Acquisition training. This place is meant to train our corps members on skill acquisition, one it comes to fruition corps serving in the North East will also benefit, As you know jobs are not readily available with your skills you will be able to fend for yourself, apart from being self reliant, you will be an employer of labour this is why we intend to build six skill acquisition Centre and Gombe is one of it already completed, the one for kazaure has reached 95% completion that is why we need to fix this place quickly so that corps members and Nigerians can benefit from the training here.

“Our corps are reservoir of knowledge we have got an independent assessor, we intend to involve our corps members who read building technology, estate valuers, civil engineers they will come and  see to give us their assessment, if the need be we will use them to do the job because it is part of training for them, they are skillful and knowledgeable.”

The Director General while congratulating corps members who recently completed their service  said, “At this stage they used to be under the tutelage of their parents, and government having being receiving allowance, now they have got the skills they should tap their potential and see what they can do for themselves, country and their parents.”
