The Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has been conferred with the traditional title of the Mukaddam Akko by the Akko Emirate Council.
According to a press statement which was made available by Joshua Danmalam, Information Officer SSG’s office, The traditional title conferred on the SSG is coming thirty (30) years after it was given to an individual.
Presenting the letter of appointment to the Secretary to the Gombe State Government, the Wazirin Akko Alhaji Abdulkadir Mohammed said after due consultations Akko Emirate deemed it fit to bestow on Professor Njodi the title which is only given to individuals with proven records of intellectual capacity.
He said as a University Don, who had once managed the affairs of an institution, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi deserves the Mukaddam Akko and therefore congratulated him for the feat.
Responding to honour done to him the Secretary to the Gombe State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, thanked Akko Emirate for bestowing on him the traditional title of Mukaddam Akko.
He assured Akko Emirate that he will do everything necessary to justify the confidence reposed on him by the Akko traditional Council.
While thanking the Emir of Akko for recognizing his effort particularly in the educational sector, the Secretary to the Gombe State Government said he will come to the Emirate to pay homage.
Congratulating the Mukaddam Akko, the Principal Private secretary to the Gombe State Governor Alhaji Usman Kamara described the honour as well deserved.
He said from the pedigree of Professor Njodi the responsibilities attached to the office of the Mukaddam Akko will be effectively and efficiently discharged.
