Following rumour of disengagement, Ekiti state university says there is no plan to relief workers of their duties.

According to a press release, which was obtained by Periscope Nigeria, the Vice – Chancellor of Ekiti State university, Ado -Ekiti Professor Edward Olanipekun through the directorate of Information and corporate affairs head Bode Olofinmuagun, debunked the rumour as been unfounded.

The statement partly states, “such allegations wasn’t true but were just mere figment of imagination rumour. members of staff are advised to disregard the rumour and go about their lawful duties.”

The vice-chancellor further reiterated that the welfare of staff and students remains paramount to the university management under is leadership.

Recall rumour has been going round within the school to suggest possible retrenchment by school management, as it was done last year December to over 1,000 staff members. Many have been in panicking mood as it is time for another quarterly meeting of the school council meeting to hold.
