Following the approval of monetary donation to the tune of 5 million by Gombe state governor Inuwa Yahaya, as allowance to the state contingents of police constabulary undergoing 8 weeks basic course at the Police Training School Jos, the state chapter of Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has commended the move by the governor.
The commendation was stated by the Gombe state chairman of PCRC, Malam Kabiru Ibn Muhammad in jos, the plateau state capital on Tuesday.
He said, “the 550 Gombe state police constabularies were full of joy with the gesture accorded them by Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.”
The Gombe PCRC Chairman who was in company of a delegation from the Ministry of Internal Security and Ethical Orientation led by the Acting Director. Administration and Finance Alh. Jidaya Abba stressed that the governor’s support will serve as an encouragement to the young officers.
It could be recalled that early this month (October) Governor Inuwa Yahaya directed the release of 18 buses by the new Gombe line Transport company that conveyed the state constabularies to Jos for commencement of the 2 months basic course at the police Training School Jos.
