Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has harped education and youth empowerment as panacea for development of the North East sub-region.
He said the North East region has suffered the most in the last decade owing to Boko Haram insurgency; kidnapping, banditry and cattle rustling which places huge demand and challenges on Leaders in the sub region.

Fintiri stated these in Adamawa, when he played host to the technical committee of the North East Governors Forum in his office, led by Prof. Abubakar Njodi, Secretary to Gombe State Government.
According to a statement which was made available by Joshua Danmalam, Information Officer, office of the Secretary to State Government on Thursday.
The governor said, “the security challenges facing the region and country is largely due to neglect of the Youths in the area of education and empowerment schemes.
“If we continue to neglect the Youth, we equally risk our future.”
He added that it is for this reason the forum appointed Gombe SSG as the Chairman and Sen. Abba Aji Executive Secretary, technical committee of the North East Governors Forum as well as other credible members of the committee.
Speaking earlier, the Secretary to Gombe State Government and Chairman of technical Committee of the North East Governors Forum Prof. Abubakar Njodi, commended the excellent works of the governor.
He empathized with the government, over what he described as ‘the recent ugly incident’ where government properties were vandalized by hoodlums during the ENDSARS Protest.
Njodi assured that the Committee will continue to stand by the North East Governors Forum in their quest to transform the region for the good of it’s People.
He further appreciated the North East Governors foresight in appointing an experienced technocrat and a statesman, Sen. Abba Aji as the Executive Secretary of the Forum whom he said provided the committee with quality leadership and guidance in their series of meetings.
Njodi led his colleagues from Bauchi, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa and Taraba States and other members of the technical Committee to brief the governor on their business session.
