Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has called on the newly wed to cultivate love and sacrifice.

Yahaya stated these in Abuja at the nuptial ceremony between Mr and Mrs Abenga Ishaku, son of his Taraba State counterpart, Mr. Darius Ishaku at Christian Reform Church, Wumba District.

He stressed that  the virtues of love and sacrifice explicates  fulfilment of biblical injunctions towards a lasting marriage.

Represented by his Deputy, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, the Governor charged them to stick to their pledge of fidelity, to learn to forgive and be submissive to each  other for a blissful and evergreen conjugal relationship.

He congratulated the parents of the couple for witnessing this memorable day, praying God to bless the marriage.

In his sermon, the officiating Minister,  Rev. Caleb O.S. Ahima, President Christian Reform Church reminded the couple that marriage was instituted by God and should be taken seriously.

Taking his text from John chapter 2 verse 2 to 11, the clergy admonished the couple to always allow God control their affairs, so that their love will always be fresh, assuring them that, as they trust in God their marriage shall be a success.

In his vote of thanks, the father of the groom, Arc. Darius Ishaku, Governor of Taraba State, appreciated all those who identified with them by attending the wedding and supporting them in many kinds.

He said, he was overwhelmed by the show of love as people took the risk of travelling to identify with them, praying God to grant them safe return to their destinations.

In attendance at the high society wedding were some Senators, Members of House of Representatives, Prominent Politicians, Royal Fathers among others from across the country.
