Gombe Leases Fertilizer Blending Plant at N7M per year

Gombe State Executive Council has approved the leasing of the state Fertilizer blending plant for 7 million naira yearly for a period of 10 years.
This was part of resolutions of the council meeting presided over by governor Inuwa Yahaya, on Wednesday.
Confirming this development to newsmen on Wednesday, Commissioner for Information Alhassan Ibrahim said, “the State Executive Council in its meeting approved the leasing of the Gombe fertilizer blending plant to Tag Agro factory for 7 million naira per annum for the period of 10 year.
“The State Government has already received 50 percent upfront payment which translates into 35 million Naira.”
Ibrahim added that the decision to lease the State fertilizer blending plant was to inject efficiency and promote accountability in the production and timely distribution of fertilizer to farmers across the State.
