Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and his counterparts from the 19 northern states are currently in a meeting with Northern States Emirs and Chiefs at the Kaduna state Government House.
According to a press statement, which was signed on Monday, by Ismaila Misilli Uba, Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Gombe state. It indicated that a communique is expected at the end of the meeting.
“The meeting, convened by the Northern States Governors Forum has in attendance, apart from the Governors, the President of the senate, Dr. Ahmad Lawan, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase, Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Inspector- General of Police, Adamu Mohammed.
“Others in attendance includes, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed and his FCT counterpart, Malam Musa Mohammed Bello while the sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar is leading a retinue of northern traditional rulers at the parley,” the statement partly stated.
