The Niger State Government has partnered with Maizube Farms in an attempt to actualise the State’s Livestock Transformation Agenda.
According to a press statement, which was made available by Abubakar Adamu Kuta, Information Officer, ministry of livestock and fisheries, Niger State, the partnership involves a familiarisation visit paid to the farm by the Commissioner of Livestock and Fisheries, Hon. Haruna Nuhu Dukku alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Wasa Jonathan in Minna.
The Commissioner and his team were received by the Managing Director of the farm, Mustapha Abdulsalam shortly after which they were conducted round different sections of the farm including Dairy Processing Unit, Cow Sheds, Feed Centre, sick bay among others.
Hon. Haruna Nuhu Dukku pointed out that the vision of the State Government under the leadership of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello is to make Niger State Nigeria’s new Livestock hub stressing that the Livestock and Fisheries sector harbour opportunities for serious investors to grab.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary described Maizube Farms as a reputable Firm pointing out that the State Government was already in partnership with not fewer than six companies who are presently investing in Livestock and Fisheries particularly at the famous Bobi Grazing Reserve among other reserves in the State.
He therefore seized the opportunity to call on the public to take advantage of the ongoing free vaccination exercise to have their Livestock and other small ruminants vaccinated across the 25 Local Government Areas of the State.
The Managing Director of the farm, Mustapha Abdulsalam expressed delight over the visit, adding that Maizube Farms looks forward to a robust partnership that will facilitate actualization of the State’s Livestock new vision.
