SSANU executives of the branch in a press statement made available to our correspondent, said it frowns at the style of payment that contravenes the general order and convention on the take home of an employee, “On no condition should an employee go home with less than 66.66% of his gross after statutory deductions, commitment and obligations.
“it is essential to inform the governor of Ekiti state that EKSU staff received no salary in the month of October”
“It is imperative for EKSU Management to prepare for the mother of all protests and industrial disharmony, if they are not prepared to reverse the trend now,” the statement stated partly”.
The executives of the chapter added that International Labour Organization (ILO) Conventions have outlawed slave labour, adding that any attempt to shortchange labour of it wage is an infringement on their fundamental human right.
