How late Kumo gave me ANPP Senate Ticket -Bauchi Gov
Bauchi State governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, on Monday recalled with nostalgia how he benefited from the kindness of deceased Senator Saidu Kumo.
Late sen. Kumo prior to his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress was a distinguished senator of the Federal Republic under defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party.
Mohammed revealed this at the government house, when he paid a condolence visit to his Gombe counterpart, Inuwa Yahaya, who also lost two of his uncles and late Kumo an indigene of the state.
The Bauchi governor who was a former senator on the platform of ANPP said he heard about the death on Sunday.
He said himself and late Senator Kumo were both in All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), as they shared political aspirations together regarding the region.
“Senator Kumo visited me 2 weeks ago. We have lost yet another colossus. We were in ANPP together, he gave me ticket without any string attached; although in APC till he died but party is nothing,” he said.
On his part, Governor Yahaya described death as an end to mankind.
He urged all to be wary of the last day, in all their deeds.
He said, “because all of us have to answer that call one day.”
However, Mohammed and Yahaya, paid condolence visits to all the bereaved families in Gombe metropolis, including the ex APC chieftain.
