Gombe SSG tasks Shongom District Head on development

Secretary to Gombe State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has charged the new District Head of Shongom, to work assiduously for the development of his domain.
Njodi stated this charge on Friday, when he played host to a delegation led by Shongom District Head, Dahiru Alfayo Yusuf.
The SSG said the peaceful selection and subsequent appointment of the District Head to replace his deceased brother demonstrated the continued resolve of the people to move the area to the next level of development.
He also noted with pride that despite interest shown by other illegible sons of the throne there was no crisis or serious disagreement calling on all and sundry to rally support for the District Head to enable him succeed.
He also used the occasion to assure the District Head and the people of the area of development, following Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s disposition to bringing uncommon transformation to the rural Community.
The SSG further admonished the Shongom Community to be security conscious as the nation battles insecurity in form of banditry, kidnapping, armed robbery and insurgency among others.
Speaking earlier, the spokesman of the District Head Mr. Danladi Garba said, they were essentially at the SSG’S office to show gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and the State Government for it’s wisdom in appointing Dahiru Alfayo Yusuf as the District Head of Shongom.
Garba noted that the peaceful conduct of the selection process has indeed endeared the Inuwa Yahaya led administration to the heart of the people of Shongom.
While assuring their unalloyed loyalty to the APC led Government in the State. He also pledged the peoples commitment to the ideals of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s administration in the State.
