Gombe NSCDC tasks licensed private security companies on professionalism

State Commandant, Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State, Samson Wabulari, has urged companies operating private security business to be professional.
Wabulari revealed that the role of securing lives and property is not the responsibility of one entity, adding that there is a need for greater synergy to defeat the common enemy.

He made this appeal on Thursday, while playing host to members of the Association of Licensed Private security Practitioners Of Nigeria (ALPSPN) And Owners Of Indigenous Private Securities in Gombe State.
While expressing his gratitude to the stakeholders for finding time to visit him, Wabulari said, “There is need for a secured society. I wish to charge (ALPSPN) to abide by the rules and regulations of the private guards companies.
“Security is the business of all and private guard practitioners should see themselves as playing a vital role in meeting the current security challenges in the Country.”

Speaking earlier, Chairman of the Association, Alh Adamu Abubakar, who spoke alongside a member National Board Of Trustees Alh Musa Pindiga, expressed the commitment of Association of Licensed Private security Practitioners Of Nigeria (ALPSPN), in collaborating with NSCDC and other security agencies to rid the state off crime.
He disclosed that the purpose of the visit was to the state command was also to congratulate him on his appointment as the new commandant of NSCDC in Gombe State.
He commended the command for the robust relationship enjoyed so far by the Association in the State, adding that it can be attributed to the effort of the HOD Private Guards Companies DC Iheanacho Eugene, for his proactiveness in ensuring that they complied with the extant rules and regulations governing the private guards company regulations.
