Gombe Deputy Gov commiserates with Borno colleague, attends mother’s funeral

Gombe Deputy Governor Manassah Daniel Jatau, has commiserated with his friend and colleague, Borno State counterpart, Alh. Umar Usman Kadafur over the death of his mother, Hajiya A’isha Usman Kadafur.

The late mother of the Borno state Deputy Governor died in an Abuja Hospital recently and the body was conveyed through Gombe Airport from where it was taken to her home town Biu, Borno state for burial.
Jatau joined multitude of sympathizers to attend the funeral prayer at Central Mosque, Biu Emir’s Palace.
In a message of condolence to the family, and government and entire people of Borno state, Jatau urged them to accept the death in good faith, and as an act of God.

He said, “Every death is painful but that of a mother is most painful considering the close affinity and love binding her and her children and other members of the family.”
The Deputy Governor further said that getting a mother like the late mother to the Borno State Deputy Governor who trained and nurtured her children to this level in life could be very difficult.
He saluted the courage, resilience, industry, and her commitment to the family, society and religion pointing out that she has left a great vacuum that can hardly be filled.

He lamented that Mama would be missed for her motherly comfort, and advices that would have helped in no small measure in moving Borno state and Nigeria to greater heights, praying God to grant her soul repose in Aljanna Firdaus.
The funeral was attended by the Governor of Borno state, Prof. Umara Zulum, Emir of Gombe, Alh. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar III, and other dignitaries.
