Gombe SSG receives Tangale students, harps peaceful co-existence

Gombe Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, has urged youths to work hard for the good of the state and the country at large.
Njodi made this assertion on Monday, when he received in audience President and Executive Members of the National Union of Tangale Students ( NUTS) Gombe State University Chapter at Government House, where he charged them on the need to live and preach peace for a better society.

While Commending the peace advocacy of the Tangale Students Union during the Billiri crisis, Njodi enjoined them to study hard to prepare for their future.
He said, “All of you are potential great men and women who shall pilot the affairs of the state and country in future.”
The SSG further encouraged them to always organise programmes and event that would help promote peace and peaceful co-existence amongst them and the larger society.
Commenting on their invitation for their upcoming Tangale Day ( Pishi Tangle) of the National Union of Tangale Students Union Gombe State University branch, the SSG accepted the invitation on the condition that peace remains the focus the event.

Speaking earlier, Branch President, Comrade Lefyamba Yahaya Babadidi, lauded the Secretary to the State Government for the opportunity to meet him in person and with an invitation letter for their upcoming Pishi Tangle.
Comrade Lefyamba also requested the SSG’S support for the less priviledged students who are struggling to meet up with financial burden of their academic pursuit, while pledging their unalloyed support to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya’s Administration.
The event was attended by Commissioners of Higher Education Mr. Meshach Audu Lauco, Special Duties, Christopher Abdu Maisheru and other top Government officials.
