Mind the gap foundation organises inter-platoon debate on camp

TOPIC: LEADERSHIP IS NOT JUST A POSITION BUT A PRESTIGIOUS LIFESTYLE OF EMPATHY, VISION, COMPETENCE, COMMITMENT, INFLUENCE AND IMPACT THAT BRINGS POWER AND PLACES YOU AT THE PEAK OF THE PACK. ( DISCUSS)
Mind the gap foundation has organised an Inter-platoon debate competition with the theme; Leadership is not just a position but a prestigious lifestyle of empathy, vision , competence, commitment, influence and impact that brings power and places you at the peak of the pack.

According to the moderator from mind the gap foundation, Mr Udah Jonah, the debate was an affirmative advocacy topic that would adapt the American Presidential debate Style where debaters do not necessarily have to argue FOR or AGAINST.
Jonah explained that they were only required to discuss the topic and try to make strong points and share their perspectives on the topic with examples and lifestyle application that would bring the topic home.

Debaters were judged based on the following criteria: diction, confidence and stage presence, posture and personal carriage, audience engagement and audience participation.
At the end of the competition,the following platoons emerged victorious.
Platoon six 6- first position
Platoon five 5- Second position
Platoon four 4- Third position
The winners got the sum of ₦15,000, ₦10,000 and ₦5,000 respectively for participating and also consolation prizes to the remaining seven platoons.
