A former gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 elections, Abdulkadir Hamma Saleh, has tendered his letter of resignation from the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
Saleh told our correspondent that the reason for his resignation from APC remains personal, adding that it is in the interest of the party.
He noted that he would make known his next political step, which would be geared towards the development of the state.

In a letter dated, 19th June 2021, which was made available to our correspondent, the politician urged his ward chairman to accept his decision in good faith.
Recall that Saleh contested the gubernatorial election under People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in 2019 before defecting to the APC where he contributed to the success of his former party. He was also a senatorial aspirant of PDP in 2015, and gubernatorial aspirant in 2011.
He said, “My decision to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC), is personal and it hinges on the unity, development and growth of our great state of Gombe.
“I wish the state well in her future political engagements.”
Saleh added, “The letter was properly channeled to the Ward chairman of APC, Nafada west, Nafada local government to the appropriate quarter.”
