The State Coordinator NYSC Gombe, Mrs Ada Imoni, has tasked the 2021 Batch ”A’ Stream II Corps members on the use of social media platforms for national unity and integration.

She also warned corps members against lobbying for rejection at their places of primary assignment.
The state coordinator made that known on Sunday, during her debriefing of the 2021 Batch A Stream II Corps members deployed to Gombe State.

Imoni said, “I implore you to use the social media platforms for the good of the nation instead of using them for addressing your grievances. You have been taken through our channels of communication, use them whenever you need clarification on issues bothering you.
“You are our ray of hope .The nation depends on you for positive contributions. Any Corps members found flouting our rules and regulations will be dealt with in accordance to the provisions of the NYSC Act and Bye-laws.
“You are to leave lasting legacies in your host Communities. No Corps member should lobby to be rejected for any reason especially those posted to rural areas. You are expected to make your impact felt in the course of the service year.”
Imoni, speaking on discipline, advised the Corps members to remember their families ,higher institutions and the NYSC Scheme as they interact with members of the society.” You are our ambassadors. What you say or do could make or mar the reputation of the NYSC Scheme,” added.
She also implored the Covid-19 Vanguard inaugurated to carry on with their mandate in their various places of primary assignment.
