North East forum endorses Al-Makura as National APC Chairman

A forum under the aegis of North East APC Social Media Forum, has endorsed former governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Al-Makura for the post on national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking in Gombe during a press briefing on Saturday, leader of the forum, Muazu Hina said the former governor, has all the qualities required to superintend over APC as national chairman.
Hina explained, “After consultations within the party hierarchy, women groups, youth associations and stakeholders within the ruling All Progressives Congress in the North East and other parts of Nigeria, the North East APC Youths Social Media Forum come to the conclusion that senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura is an experienced politician and his equipped knowledge will no doubt take the ruling APC to greater heights.
“We believe that Al-Makura will offer an open door policy, and will keep to promises to be made in the course of our electioneering campaign coming soon in all the geographical zones of the country.”
Hina said his group would work hand in hand the stakeholders of the party, with a view to promoting the reforms and processes that are necessary to strengthen the party.
Also speaking, Dominic Alancha, who represented Almakura at the endorsement expressed delight about the endorsement.
Alancha described Al-Makura as a dedicated and loyal party man, who also
has the interest of Nigeria’s growth, development, unity and peace at heart.
According to Alancha, transparent record of the senator while serving as Nasarawa State governor, has attracted him to people far and wide, adding that APC at the national level would benefit alot.
While receiving the endorsement letter, he noted that the senator would have been in Gombe, but was commissioning a mosque alongside the incumbent governor.
